We will be making slight changes to the course for 2023. Don't you worry though, the course will be just as challenging and beautiful. The lap will still be roughly 8 miles with 800-1,000 ft of elevation gain/lap.
Course will be run "washing machine style," switching directions after each lap.
Look for a link below in the coming months as the new course changes come to life.

Participants will switch directions every lap, (“washing-machine” style), with odd-number laps (1,3,5 etc.) run clockwise and even-number laps (2,4,6 etc.) run counterclockwise.
The race course will be well-marked with reflective flagging/posts, and light strings. All participants are required to run with a headlamp or handheld light source, during the race. If you like to listen to music while you run, we ask that you use bone conducting headphones, or leave one headphone out. All runners and relay teams will run the same loop, switching direction accordingly. The format of this event allows participants to run the course and rest as they choose. We only ask that you notify race officials if you are taking an extended break between laps or are done before the finish of your event so that we don't send a search party out for you. They will be stocked with a full assortment of food and drink. *If you plan on using aid station; Before entering the aid station, know what you want and prep accordingly (unscrew your bottles, gather your trash, etc.). This is good practice for any event. Obviously, you can also be self sufficient and carry/provide all you may need.
